Your area of responsibility
As Investment Assistant Vice President, you will be responsible for supporting the team throughout the investment lifecycle, starting from sourcing and execution of transactions to post-closing value creation and asset management tasks all the way to potential opportunistic sell-downs, with a particular focus on opportunities across internal markets.
The role includes, but is not limited to, the following key responsibilities:
Deal sourcing & execution
- Contribute to identifying and evaluating attractive investment opportunities in the energy infrastructure sector globally
- Support transaction execution, including financial modeling, valuation analysis, and preparation of investment memoranda for the Investment Committee
- Coordinate due diligence processes across technical, legal, financial, tax, and commercial workstreams, working closely with external advisors and internal experts
- Assist in structuring transactions and negotiations with sellers, partners, and lenders
- Conduct market research and help derive investment strategies aligned with EIP’s objectives
Asset management
- Lead on add-on transactions for portfolio companies
- Support on refinancing workstreams and debt capital structure optimization
- Lead active value creation processes on portfolio companies
- Analyze key performance indicators to monitor asset developments against investment theses
- Maintain and enhance valuation models to track investment performance, coordinating with stakeholders such as valuation agents
- Support strategic decision-making with qualitative and quantitative analysis, and manage legal agreements related to capital structure, business strategy, and regulatory developments
- Develop periodic reports for investors, lenders, and investment committees
- Manage relationships with industry partners and external service providers, including retendering services as needed
- Oversee liquidity planning, debt utilization, equity drawdown processes, and financial covenant control
